Market leading technologies
Utilising the world's smallest 0.61 SXRD chip to deliver more than two million pixels and the full power of Sony high-definition, the VW100 incorporates three of these powerful SXRD chips - one each for red, green and blue colour reproduction - delivering an astounding image. The use of the Advanced Iris assists in the production of the impressive contrast ratio, delivering more accurate blacks and crisper colour reproduction.
Featuring a true high-definition progressive 1920x1080 pixel resolution the VW100 delivers crystal clear images with life-like detail, and boasts a deep and vibrant colour gamut. This is another dramatic advancement in visual quality over existing home projection display technologies and delivers on the promise of making high-definition a reality for customers.
The VW100 features a 400W pure Xenon lamp to deliver unrivalled picture quality. The lamp emulates the vibrancy of actual sun-light and reproduces colours closest to the natural spectrum, a feat previously restricted to the high-end market. This lamp is widely used in professional film projectors such as those viewed at the cinema and is currently the best quality available for home theatre.

Ultimate picture quality
The VW100 utilises state-of-the-art SXRD technology which ensures striking, crisp images are projected. SXRD has been developed by Sony to synergise with high definition viewing sources that are now available to consumers. With an incredibly fast pixel response time of less than 5ms, SXRD technology provides smooth and clear viewing of fast action scenes on the screen.
Featuring a 1.8x powered lens zoom and powered focus this unit delivers sharp images with remarkable clarity. Coupled with the lens shift function, users can adjust the vertical and / or horizontal placement of the image thereby ensuring no image manipulation occurs and no compromise on image quality.
Whisper quiet performance
Owing to an advanced cooling mechanism, the VW100 emits an extremely low fan noise of just 22dB. This is one of the lowest in the industry and is of particular importance in maximising the home theatre experience through the reduction of peripheral noise.
Increased connectivity
The VW100 incorporates numerous inputs allowing for home theatre content to be delivered from such video sources as HD TV tuners, standard and progressive-scan DVD players. Users can even view their own HD footage from their high definition camcorder (such as the Sony HDR-HC1 or HDR-FX1).
The VW100 provides compatibility with 1080p content as well incorporating all the latest video connection standards such as HDMI, DVI-D, HD Component, S-Video and Composite.
