Increasingly web administration and web site development is going in-house. Develop skills, which are rapidly becoming part of the standard professional repertoire of many administrative, marketing and communications roles.

Learn the fundamental principles and developmental skills required to successfully design, maintain and administer web site information and architecture. From hand coding HTML to administering a web server, discover what you need to know to become a Webmaster.

Upon successful completion of the Web Master Training course you will gain a dual qualification in both the Certificate IV in IT (Web Administration) ICA41001 and Certificate IV in IT (Web Design) ICA41101. The Certificate IV in IT is a nationally recognised and ANTA accredited courses.

COURSE OUTCOMES
Upon completion of this course you will be able to; develop, maintain web sites and multimedia interfaces; deploy and administer basic server protocols and techniques; work within both hand coding and various WYSIWYG authoring environments e.g. Macromedia Dreamweaver. By the end of this course you will be able to:

• Create web pages using HTML, ASP, CSS and JavaScript.

• Maintain web site information and architecture.

• Manage web site validation and performance issues.

• Manage web site / server security issues, preventative maintenance, structure and protocols.

• Identify principles of visual design.

• Produce and manipulate digital Images for the web.

• Design a multimedia interface and create user interaction.

DURATION
200 hours

PREREQUISITES
Computer literate with working knowledge of Windows 95/98/2000 operating system.
