Project Description and Context

Background: Assignment 1 requires skills and knowledge developed across a range of subjects in your course i.e. Digital Imaging. Completion of the project requires the use of core skills essential to working effectively in a web design/development context. It tests these skills by simulating a real work situation, direct observation and a verbal report/presentation.

Project Summary and Context

The assignment requires you to build a Web Site that incorporates a Multimedia component(banner ad), html, CSS and JavaScript for the CAE. The process of building the Web Site must be done in a professional manner and will be used as the basis for assessment for 4 of the Web Publishing units of competency. This enables more efficiency of effort and scope for students.

This web site must involve an interface designed in Macromedia Fireworks and constructed in Notepad and/or EvrSoft First Page. It must be a web site to promote the Certificate IV in Information Technology (Web Mastering) at CAE, with consideration given to who the audience may be and what interface would be appropriate to that audience.
